Support local with us in Holland, VA!

We are excited to announce that several Cotton Patch Farms products will be coming soon to a local shop in the Suffolk area!

Miss Lilly’s Trading Post is a brand new consignment shop located in the cosy community of Holland in the Suffolk, Virginia area. The shop plans to host community events, showcase local artisans and vendors, and charm customers with a hometown, vintage feel that is missing in many businesses today. You may recognize the iconic red building as one of Holland Historic District’s old barns – and it is! The barn at Miss Lilly’s was used to store peanuts and cotton. We’re glad to see that this historic building will continue to contribute to its community.

The store’s Grand Opening will be April 20, 2024 from 10 AM – 5 PM. There will be music, food trucks (Star Jayz BBQ and Sweet Iris Mobile Beverages), and a raffle for a $50 store credit. After the Grand Opening event, the store’s hours will be Wednesday – Saturday from 10 AM – 5 PM.

Miss Lilly’s has curated a variety of vintage items and local products for its shelves. Some of these products will be our very own local honey and flowers! We are looking forward to introducing Cotton Patch Farms to the Suffolk community.

When we started our farm, we knew that we wanted to bring life back to the land. We are working to repair our patch of Suffolk by planting beneficial species, keeping animals and insects that help the land, and allowing nature – not pesticides, herbicides, and chemicals – to act. We believe that Cotton Patch Farms, LLC can become more than just an old cotton patch.

But we don’t want our farm’s relationship with nature to be limited to its residents! We want you to have the chance to be a part of our farm with us and enjoy the beauty and the flavor of life at Cotton Patch Farms.

We believe that honey is one of the best things that nature gives us and we do our best to help nature produce it. We provide our honeybees and local pollinators with plenty of nectar by planting acres of different species of flowers. We have also moved our crop fields out of conventional farming to give our family, bees, plants, and animals a break from chemicals. Our honey is raw, unfiltered, unprocessed, and free to work as nature intends. Whether you’re a fan of honey’s health benefits or you just like the taste, it’s a completely natural product that tastes great!

Our flowers are a big, beautiful part of life on our farm. As we work on reclaiming our cotton patch, we’ve gotten to know many different species and watch them grow in our environment. The blooming stage is always the busiest and most exciting time – flowers really bring out the best reactions! We do our best to preserve the buzz of life by harvesting some of the best blooms once the bees have gotten their fill. We can’t preserve the buzzing part, but we can dry the flowers and keep the beauty alive. The blooms that go into our arrangements will last for years if kept dry and out of strong light.

All of our products are grown, harvested, and arranged by our family. We strive to provide quality products that are beneficial, natural, and will last a long time in your home.

Whether you plan to check out our products or not, we hope that you’ll come out to Miss Lilly’s Trading Post and support local with us.
